The Fundraising Guarantee & Quotes from those already signed up
What is the Fundraising Guarantee?
While the standards for fundraising are set out in full within the Code of Fundraising Practice, the Fundraising Guarantee statement was created to give the public an understanding of the principles of fundraising.
Why should you sign up?
It is a positive statement about values, culture and practices and outlines to the public how they can expect to be treated by fundraisers and charities. By displaying the statement on your website, this outlines your commitment to donors and you can also apply to us for use of the associated logo.

The logo can be displayed on your charities website, alongside the statement, as well as on your emails and documents. You can read the guidelines for the logo here.
To sign up, you simply need to complete a short online form providing your charity’s name and charity number as well as a contact name and email address so we can send you the logo. For more information about who can sign up and to find the statement and online form, go to our Fundraising Guarantee webpage.
Why not read quotes below from some of the first charities to sign up to the Fundraising Guarantee. We’ll continue to post more over the next few weeks so keep an eye on our website and Twitter.
Scottish Veterans Residences (SC015260)

“Scottish Veterans Residences has signed up to the Fundraising Guarantee as it reflects the values and practices of our organisation with regards to fundraising. We believe it will help to foster the trust and confidence of our donors which is vital to ensure that we can continue to support veterans who are homeless, vulnerable and in need.”
Revive MS Support (SC022886)

“We are delighted to be one of the first charities to register for the Fundraising Guarantee. It is important to us at Revive MS Support that members of the public can have confidence in making a donation to our charity, and engaging with our fundraising team, knowing that we are adhering to a code of practice. We also love the look of the logo, and will be very happy to display this on our website and stationery.”
Ardgowan Hospice Ltd (SC011541)

“Ardgowan Hospice receives around 38% of statutory funding with the remainder coming from fundraising, so we simply couldn’t exist without the support of our donors. By registering with the Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel, we can clearly demonstrate to donors how seriously we value and respect them. It also reassures donors that they can trust us when they choose to support our work.”
