Scottish Fundraising Adjudication Panel introduces three new animations
The Scottish Fundraising Adjudication Panel has created three new animations to help charities, fundraisers, and the public understand the Panel’s role in fundraising regulation. The animations introduce what the Panel does, the Good Fundraising Guarantee, and highlight five key fundraising policies every charity should have. Video one: The Scottish Fundraising Adjudication Panel – who we are & what do we do.
The first animation provides an overview of the Panel and our role in regulating fundraising in Scotland. It explains how we oversee fundraising and adjudicate complaints about fundraising by Scottish registered charities. We are here to ensure that the public can have confidence that Scottish charities fundraise in a way that is legal, open, honest, and respectful.
Video two: The Good Fundraising Guarantee.
The second animation introduces the Good Fundraising Guarantee and explains what registration means for charities, their supporters and the public. It outlines the commitments a charity makes when registering for the Guarantee, and why signing up is beneficial. By registering, a charity shows its commitment to best practice fundraising that is legal, open, honest and respectful.
Video three: Five Key Fundraising Policies.
The third animation introduces five key policies a charity should have in place to fundraise responsibly: Donation Acceptance; Refusal & Return Policy; Ethical Fundraising Policy; Fundraising Due Diligence Policy; People in Vulnerable Circumstances Policy; and Complaints Policy. It highlights how these policies help charities maintain transparency, protect donors, and build public trust.
